Since you said critique is appreciated, I think if you want it to look more like it's underwater, you should add some greenish highlights and shadows to it that are a similar colour to the water, instead of only using grey tones. See how in the ref it's underbelly and tail and arms (fins? flippers?) almost look like they have a greenish tint?

I hope you're gonna do more in this series. ^.^

Oofay > Yeah, I know exactly what you mean [about the greenish]. I had originally had it like that, but then my computer crashed, and I had to start from scratch. But I'll probably end up editing it and putting the greenish tones/highlights/shadows into it. Thank you for the critique, it is very helpful :D
