Raising its muzzle to the sky a wolf made out of cold howls to the moon,its breath making the snow white frost that is snow....that drifts gently down to earth for the non spirit wolves to frolic in and use as cover....
The frost wolf is the spirit of a wolf that now,when taking shape, looks like frost.
