I know exactly how you feel - I have my 'puppy' Crystal, she is a 12 year old Dalmation-Black lab mix. They got her before I was born! xD They got her from these very nice people whose dogs had puppies. Their pups were jumping and squeling, very rambuntious - but not Crystal. She was calm and quiet. But when she came home, boy was she crazy! She is still that way, silly and energetic, not to mention fat! xD She look more Dalmation, because you could NEVER EVER guess she was part Lab. She has a perfect diamond shape in black on her forehead, hence her name - Crystal Diamond _______ (last name). Whenever she is taking a nap or something, I'll say "Give the baby a kiss on her diamond!" and do so. WEEEE! Puppies rule! zD

aw... thanks, I'll go give him a big hug right now.

edited, added the whiskers and blended the light areas between the brown and black areas so they aren't as noticeable..... added more silver to his ear and muzzle.

That's wonderful that you saved him! Such a pretty picture! I have a Pomeranian/ Papillion mix named Coffee. I have to admit I got him from a breeder in Missouri, but we have reasons to believe it was a puppy mill. When we got him from the airport he was cowering in the back of his filthy cage, scared out of his mind. He didn't trust anyone except my blonde cousin who came to pick him up with us. Then we brought him home and he wouldn't get out of his cage, then we picked him up and put him on the grass. He didn't know what grass was. He sniffed at the ground and kind of lifted his legs in the air and tried to get back into his carrier. His paws are also deformed; they are bent forward, most likely from having to stand on a wire cage throughout his puppy hood. He didn't know how to drink out of a water bowl either; he only drank from a carrier water bottle that looks like a water bottle you would give to hamsters! But that was two years ago and he couldn’t be happier with my family in his new home now. :)

I get lost in the beauty
Of everything I see
The world ain’t as half as bad
As they paint it to be
If all the sons
If all the daughters
Stopped to take it in
Well hopefully the hate subsides and the love can begin
It might start now... Yeah
Well maybe I’m just dreaming out loud

Thank you. And that is a shame... it does sound like a puppy-mill dog to me. Deformation, not knowing what grass is.... Definitely a puppy mill dog. I'm glad to hear that he's okay now, hope you have many more long years with him.
