Re: Grieving, Loss and Sadness

That's how I feel pretty much. I got my coat on, stepped out in my back yard with my camera. It was still sunny, but the shadows were cast like near sunset. Just felt too cold to explore or take pictures. I know soon the time will come and I will miss the upper 40's. Right now the sun is setting already.

Practicing drawing is good constructive use of time. I find I start to feel down easily if I stay sitting in one place too long. The solution would be to get off the computer, but then I get bored or fall asleep.

BTW transparent brush - where it says "opacity", drag that down to anywhere from about 5-10, will make a very transparent brush. You can set it higher if you want a more obvious color shift. Or if you want it gradual, you can go back and forth with a lower transparency and build up. Not that I've used this program much, but I've used photoshop 7 and more/less it's the same concept.
Looking for: Halloween 2019 pets. I have tokens but missed the trade in times due to no internet access the end of October.

Compared to the best drawers ever, many people usually arent that skilled. That doesnt mean that ones skills sucks, its a matter of style and how much practise you have, and want to spend on it.
Your right about the stiff pose, but spite of that, I really like the coloring, and the expression is really lovely! Do note, that a lot struggle to make drawings with strong expressions and atmosphere.. Its not that easy, so dont be too hard about your creative skills, and focus more about what you can, instead of everything you cant :)

About your cat, I give my condolence.
I know exactly how you feel, my cat got put down 3 years ago, and I had him his whole 8 year old life, and was even there when he was born. I still cry every now and then (even now, I try hard not to let a tear fall) and miss him very much, thinking his death would be the end of my world.
Its annoying that some people don't think its a big deal, because "its just an animal", but everyone should be allowed to grief about even a pet, considered that a pet can be a very close friend for many people, and to loose a friend is never easy, four legs or two.
