7 Little Ducklings,
All Skipping in Glee.
We Let Them Go Swimming,
And Now We Have 3.
Our mallard hen, Ichy, had 7 ducklings. One is a purebred mallard (Ziggy) and the others were half mallard, half Cayuga. Today we let them go swimming for the second time, and we let them be.
After a while, my dad called up to my mom and I and said something about the ducklings, worried, we hurried out to see what was wrong.
Ichy and one baby, Noodles, were out of the water, and in the water were the other 6 ducklings, only two of which we had named. All of them but two were laying down in the water, eyes closed, bodies twisted into strange figures. Two, Ziggy and Maceroni, were laying on top, holding onto life, just barley. We quickly collected the 3 living ducklings and put them under a heat lamp. They lived.
This just happened a few moments ago, and we just burried the other 4, one of which was the actual Noodles, the one my sister named. We named the other living one Noodles. My sister doesn't know yet, she's at a friend's house.
