- This is Smil. He's a character I made in 2015 during the candy event (that year's CS summer event). He was a gummy cat that could transform into a gummy worm and his name is literally just the word smile without the e lol, I've never been too creative with names. I hated him a few months after I made him since I realized that his entire character is honestly... kinda silly lol. Anyways, I've been redesigning all of my OCs so I had to get to him at some point. So far he's the only character I've redesigned that actually looks more simple after the redesign. Part of it is because I just used a very simple lineart for the redesign to give off a more... gummy-like vibe?? Part of it is because I actually removed the sugar from the redesign since it didn't really look right. ( opps changed my mind) Part of it is because the original design actually had fur, which I removed in the redesign because that makes... no sence. Oh also he can transform into any animal now, not just a cat and worm. The most common animals he transforms into are a worm and a bear, but after meeting his cat friends, he transformed into a cat more frequently so he would fit in with them more.
I love how I just wrote an entire paragraph for this very simple character that I don't even like lol. Anyways here's the original 2015 design:
