"She's lost her family."
He twitched his ear and walked a few steps closer to the water. The pebbles crackled as he plopped down once again. Unfortunately, the invading cat followed anyway.
"She just worries about your safety."
Wingedbreeze's anger welled up inside him and he whips around, snarling at his mother. "Leave me alone. I'll jump in this lake if I have to." He breathed heavily in a desperate attempt to calm himself. He silently turned around and sat once again. Bagderfur wasn't fazed by his outburst in the slightest. Tears welled in her eyes as she spoke, "Wingedbreeze, listen to me, she loves you. She just wants you to be safe, she doesn’t want to lose anyone else.”
He didn't want to hear anymore. He stood up and walked to the water, stopping when both of his paws were soaked.
“Wingedbreeze, please don’t do this. Please,” Badgerfur bit out in shock. What was he thinking?
“I-I just want five minutes for myself...” his voice broke as he whispered.
Badgerfur lashed her tail but said nothing. She walked back into the bushes, staying hidden until she saw him sigh and walk about of the water. He always hated getting wet she thought as he grumbled at his water-logged paws. She only began the journey back to camp when he lied down on the cool stones and closed his eyes.

This is an exert from me and my friends middle school roleplay I rewrote. I never liked how this scene turned out because it made him seem very childish, and now it better reflects him and his mom. I kept all the spoken words exactly the same to give me a bit of a challenge
Also I really liked drawing this, it was super calming and I hope you guys are a fan of it too
