i got a love bird today
his name is jojo
yes he is named after jojo's Bizzare adventure

he bop his head at me :)

omg I remember when I owned one aww there were so sweet I have an indian ringneck tho ugh he is so annoying but love him!

when I had lovebirds and when I had meltdowns it would fly to me and tweet a song we use to sing to aaaa thoses were the days

Awe! I used to have 2 Budgies and I loved them a lot C:.
I’m assuming taming them is similar, so here’s some tips~

Be patient! I recommend buying treats too. I used to hold a treat in my hands and my Budgies would have to jump onto my hand to eat it. Try this and then when he does it every time, try to get him to jump onto your hand without the treat. This can take a while so be patient c:

Don’t just feed him seeds, it’s not healthy for them. Make sure to mix some veggies into his diet, like cucumber and just about anything green. My Budgies favourite vegetable was celery! They also loved lettuce mixed in with their seeds ^-^

Don’t forget to give him lil showers. You can bathe them, but they tend to prefer showers. I’m not sure what the water temp has to be cause I didn’t really have my budgies for that long :c. So do some googling.

hello thank you so much for the tips! i currently feed him pellets and plan to be adding fruits and veggies to his diet soon!
So far he enjoys the pellets! we also have a perfect light spray bottle to give him showers which is often used for my sister's bearded dragon and his showers.

the whole two lovebirds thing is only really needed if you dont have time to give your love bird lots of attention which i will 100%

So far when i sit next to his cage he likes to talk to me and move over to where i am, still scared of my hand though when i go to change his water! hopefully i can bribe him with treats like you suggest!
