- my first actual art piece of leafstar!
no one else except me understands what's happening here so i'll explain: leafstar's (or leafheart, in the case of the picture) former colony fell apart after a brutal ambush by a neighboring group of rogues. it was basically a massacre and left only a handful of her colony still standing, who then followed leafheart on her journey to the mountains, thinking it would be good to get away from the territory. but it was a tough journey and cats were wounded and grieving, and some of them died on the way due to their wounds/exhaustion. the remaining cats all chose to stay in the fields they were passing through, and left leafheart to finish her journey alone! so she's got a ton o trauma! yay!
this scene is from right after the attack, when leafheart is faced with the realization that her colony has been decimated. it's funny because the attack took part at dawn, which was leafstar's favourite time of day! haha! :'D
