Try not to worry yourself over the timer and drawing sessions here on CS, or about the rate you feel that you are improving, even Picasso didn't become an epic artist overnight. Being "fast" isn't always everything.

Wow, this entire message was awesome, but this part especially stood out! I often find myself rushing so the timer isn't so big or making up excuses as to why it is because I'm embarrassed! Also one of the first things I look at on an amazing piece by another artist is the timer, and then I always beat myself up over it. Thank you for writing this!

i've been meaning to comment on this post for a while, but kept putting it off due to exhaustion - but man, it's so nice to read this post, especially considering how personally insecure i've been about my art lately ;0; j, you're an immensely kind and sweet individual, and the fact that you spent time in order to put this message out there for people just goes to show that fact <3

and i stand by that message, a hundred percent - it's a rough journey to learn art, after all! it's best to take every step with the knowledge that you appreciate your own work.

aww! i love this, such a positive message. a lot of people downtalk their art and it hurts my soul :'< but even im guilty of doing so, but after reading this it makes me feel a lot better <3
