After Troutpaw left so suddenly, Hollowmoon had lost her confidence in ever being a mother. She ran away from her own terrible mate, Featherstar, and stayed in FadeClan until she gave birth to Wolfkit and Whisperingkit. Hollowmoon, Minnowleap(Her other son), and Dewflower agreed on one thing: Dewflower would raise the kits after their birth. Dewflower promised that the kits would never know their true parents and they would never even their own brother, Minnowleap, who happened to be the Clan's medicine cat after a fateful event. Dewflower raised the kits with her own and the father, Ashpool. Dewflower's kits, Breezekit and Icekit, and Hollowmoon's kits, Wolfkit and Whisperingkit, saw each other as siblings, even when the truth slipped.
