These long-bodied creatures are quite large, ranging from the size of a large dog to larger than a horse. They have short, thick tails, stubby legs with two toes and a thumb on each foot. They have no paw pads. They are often seen wearing unsettling masks. Each individual only ever has one mask, and will not substitute it for another. The mask is part of its anatomy even though it is removable. The most notable trait of this species however is not the mask, but what is behind it. Behind each ____'s mask is an endless void, which can be full of water, stars, or anything else. Anything put into the void will permanently become part of the ____'s being, be it an object, a concept, or even a living thing. Creatures put inside the void could float endlessly through it, or even become part of the ____'s identity, their personalities melding. If a ____ loses a limb, another hole to the void will appear in its place.
