pixits are tiny bat-like fairies no larger than a bumblebee. they are excellent pollinators, responsible for the production of many common fruits and flora. many different subspecies of pixits can be found all around the globe, each perfectly adapted to their environments.
all pixits have large, sensitive ears and whisker-like antennae on their head. these are used to listen for predators and navigate small spaces. pixits feed on flower nectar. while feeding, pollen will collect on their soft, downy fur and spread to other flowers.
pixits sport a well-rounded face and translucent, dragonfly-like wings. their back legs are shorter than the front, causing the back to naturally the slope downwards.
despite their friendly appearance, pixits have extremely sharp teeth to defend themselves. they are also poisonous when eaten to most animals. they only bite when provoked or threatened.
so basically, tiny fairy-bat pollinators that have large ears, face antennae, dragonfly wings, and very sharp teeth.
