Num-Num [Num-Nums/Num/Nums]
- ▪ Recognized by the distinctive 'num-num' call they make in order to communicate.
▪ There are six different types of Nums, each characterized by the biome that they live in. The biome of a Num determines what their magical abilities are centered around.
- ▪ Aquatic, Grassland, Woodland, Desert and Tundra. Biomeless is another type of Num but they are extremely rare to come across.
▪ Nums are born into their biomes and they stay in their biomes for life, else they risk perishing outside of their biome.
- ▪ Grassland [C], Grasslanders: Num-nums that are born in large expanses of grass or areas with a low tree to land ratio are considered grassland Nums. These Nums mainly have powers associated with growth and regeneration.
▪ Woodland [C], Woodlanders: When a Num is born in a wooded area, otherwise considered an area with a high tree to land ratio, the Num is considered as a woodlander. These Nums typically have abilities that relate to using the Earth as a weapon; an example of this could be a Num summoning vines.
▪ Aquatic [UC], Aquatics: Since Nums cannot be born in water, Nums that are simply born on or near a coastline are considered aquatic Nums. These Num's abilities are associated with water and they can have extremely slight and minor control over the tide when each aquatic Num is participating in the event.
▪ Tundra [R], Icewalkers: These Nums are born in barren lands that tend to be cold year around. These Nums can regulate their body temperatures much better than most Nums, making them more adaptive than most Nums. These Nums tend to have abilities that relate to bringing forth snow flurries and cold breath.
▪ Desert [R], Sundevils: The Nums that are born in hot deserts are considered Sundevils, mainly because that's what other Nums have referred to them as. These Nums are adapted to the point that they don't need a lot of water to survive and their body can store any water intake for long periods of time. These Nums often have thinner fur, though unnoticeable. These Nums don't possess many abilities usually, though some have been able to conjure up small windstorms.
▪ Biomeless [VR], Wanderers: These Nums are far and wide and are rarely noticed even when they do pass through. Though these Nums are biomeless, they are called wanderers for short. These Nums can survive in any habitat and exhibit highly advanced adaptive skills. Nobody truly knows how these Nums come into existence, but they do. As the result of not having any set biomes, these Nums tend to live without any abilities.
