his story:
before, <n/a> was a regular luxray. the star of his trainer's team, a highly valued shiny, and all around just a great pokemon to know. until it happened. there was a project... which the public had known about for some time. it's main goal was to figure out how to alter, or change, a pokemon's typing. scientists first started this project when they heard tales of arceus being able to change typing at will. of course, many pokemon change typing when they evolve, but this was different.
<n/a> was entered as a part of a raffle for the project. this raffle said that, if you paid a small amount of money, your pokemon would have a chance to be tested on and have their type changed. why the scientists couldn't catch their own pokemon was a mystery. (<n/a> wasn't put into the raffle against his will; both he and his trainer had agreed on it.)
in the end. <n/a> was selected. he said goodbye to his trainer and traveled to the research center. it was nice, and all the scientists were friendly to him. then, when they started the change, it happened. something went wrong. the injection, which was supposed to change him to a grass type, spilled, drenching <n/a>. some would say it worked. his type did change. but not how it was intended to.
<n/a>'s body absorbed the chemical, quickly making him unstable. vines materialized and wrapped around his heart, with his eyes turning dark and glowing from the radiation. his body trembled. plants sprouted around <n/a> as scientists quickly evacuated, screaming in terror. bolts of lightning circled and crackled around him. he howled in terror, wanting it to stop. a flower bud sprung up from his tail, causing excruciating pain to run down his spine. going wild, <n/a> swung a large vine into a wall, causing a hole to form and the building to shake. he ran out into the forest, not looking back. the grass was burnt from electricity where his paws touched the ground. he ran until he found a large and dark cave, and finally settled down, still in pain.
and that was the beginning of his second life.
