a prime example of 'don't judge a book by its cover'. aw is well known as a potion creator and is easy to recognize with the bright blue that accompanies his magic. bright blue is usually associated with magics that focus on water, air, or ice.

however, aw's magic is focused on ash, smoke, fire, and generally hot and explosive materials, and his natural magic color is actually red.

the blue and purple on him is due to the fact he is partnered to aspel, who specializes in soulbinding. soulbinding is generally found with calmer colors, with examples such as blue, green, purple, or light pink.

since aw's main role with magic is to hold it rather than use it, while aspel's is mostly used for offensive purposes, she is 'stronger', and thus, her magic color, blue, has mostly taken over aw's magic color.


anyway wanted to draw this because I wanted a small break to draw my own thing. ill get back to work on stuff tomorrow.
