This is Mudclaw in the prologue of Midnight and how he was in such denial and shock when he died.
The picture meant to represent the pain and strife not only Mudclaw went through, but many other young cats when they died and went to Starclan.

Mudclaw is a wiry,[11] lithe,[12] mottled, dark brown tabby tom[6] with amber eyes.[13]
