Four of those five were spent shading and getting the lighting on that fur underneath the neck. Yeah. I've spent 7 before, but it didn't have a background so who knows why? Thank you!

I could put up a tutorial maybe? It's surprisingly easy, with some practice! It took me some time but I learned from the shading on editables. I make a duplicate layer of my colors and use white with the airbrush tool for major highlights. Then, minimize the size to one or two and do minimal details in the fur, adding points to the tufts. Then use a grey to do a few details ear the base of the tuft, then go back in with dark around the edges, especially underneath a tuft! Set your layer to multiply and play with opacity until you like it. his method of shading requires lighter colors underneath than you would normally use for the character, so it's actually okay if you don't like the way the colors look yet! Now, go ahead and fix the colors. I either wait to do them until now or I just make another copy layer and fix them by making a layer that lightens it the way you like it. I use a bunch of different settings on this. Then, duplicate your shading layer and set it to either one of the lights or add or lighten. Then do as many of whatever kind of touchups you like! You can add lighting color by either coloring initially in that color or by adding lighter areas underneath using the dodge or airbrush tool, on it's own layer.
Of course, this is just my way of shading. You should start anywhere you like and develop your own style. Andilion's a big inspiration to me - you should check them out!
I hope that helps? If not or if you want me to, I can try to tutorialise it!

Thank you! Phew, I was a little worried, honestly. I wasn't sure if the motion blurr as clear or if it was distracting. Does the snow on the fur look like snow?
