Ooooh, I didn't even think of that (which seems silly since he kinda needs to breathe! XD ) Yeah, next time I draw a winter scene I need to remember this- thank you so much!!!!

I drew the claws for the species myself and... yeah they look more like bird of prey talons than feline claws the more I look at them! XD Again that's my bad and a design flaw in the species- thank you for pointing that out to me!

This will make them recede into the distance a lot more. You could probably keep the same amount of detail, but because the mountains have the same amount of darks and detail in them as the subject kitty on top, it makes the whole thing seem a little hard to differentiate. If you have those background mountains on a separate layer, you could maybe just drop the opacity by like 30-50% and call if good.
Awesome job on the line art of your species, though! The fur patterns and pose of him are really, really well done! <3
[you were asking for critiques and I just read pages and pages of compliments posted....which are nice to hear but they do nothing to help you improve as an artist, haha]
Indeed, I was wondering if the tignix didn't stand out against the background as well as it could do (the snow in the foreground doesn't help much either.) I think that part of the problem was the fact that I was so concerned with getting the background to look good (I've always been aware that my backgrounds and landscapes are subpar to say the least) that I put a lot of effort into trying to get the texture of the snow and rock to look good that I lost focus on the subject matter: the tignix. Combined with the snow it helps the tignix to blend in: great for camouflage when hunting, but not when you're the subject of a piece of artwork! XD Thank you for helping me pick up on this- this is probably the best piece of advice so far!!!

Like I've said previously I will not be editing this particular piece, however I wish to take on board any pieces of advice people may have to help me improve future art pieces, including a possible re-draw of this as a mark of improvement a few years down the line. Thank you so much to all the wonderful pieces of criticism and all of the tips for improvement. I really hope that someday I can produce a good quality piece of work using all of the valuable information this piece has helped me gather!!!
