Maybe the tail a little less boxy and eyes a bit smaller.
Also the ears are adorable but as you said too big.
The front leg is also way larger then the back legs which is usually very weird for animals. Perhaps tone down the front leg, and make it bigger around 1/3 of the inside of the leg. Also could you color this in so I can see what is what? I could give you more information.
I know I'd totally support you with this species even if that means bumping it every hour XD

Oh and either you or have someone else touch up the lines a bit, while they are nice and better then what I can do it will make the lines better.

this is currently just a thick-lined sketch so it doesnt look too good

O yea, should I do it where the head is just straight where u see only 1 eye, or both?
Should I keep the scarf or nah? XD

Maybe have one eye showing but then have a spot of where it shows both eyes, nose and tongue.

You shouldn't keep the scarf because, it would be fairly hard to tie into a story or info for them. As they are a cat and squirrel who wouldn't really be found in the cold and bats definitely not. Maybe just have the line art for Christmas and other special occasions.
