I have seen a lot of people asking for others to help them learn how to draw, so here is a ref sheet/tutorial I have put together. The first step is drawn in red, the second in blue, and the third in black. After this, you would set the opacity down low, add another layer, and carefully trace over the lines.
I would also recomend using a few layers, and I have written the way most people do it below (There are probably other ways, but I think this is the easiest and most common).
Layer 1(background): It is white when you start oekaki. Don't touch it until you make your background.
Layer 2(sketch): Put your sketch on this layer. If you want to be able to edit each colors seperatly, make them each on one layer.
Layer 3/next layer up depending on how many sketches you did(lines): After you set the opacity down, trace over your sketch.
As you make the layers, re-name them with the names in paratheses or whatever you want, as long as you can tell them apart. Then, add a layer above the background layer, that will be where you color in whatever animal or object you drew. Note, this technique works best with line drawings like animals, people, plants, cars, ect. As long as there is lines that you are coloring in, this should work.
To add shading, add a layer in between the sketch and the lines. Then you can use whatever shading technique you like.
I hope this tutorial helped, but if it didn't please tell me how to make it better!
In other words, I absolutly love pen pressure! I just downloaded the java thing that enables it, and I just had to try it out, which is partly why I did this :3
