An Afternoon in July
panel 1: I remember the day we met so clearly... I had a house in the country and had been living there for almost two years. It was secluded and quiet, and I never saw any other ponies except for when I would go into town. Which was exactly why I was so surprised when I saw him standing in the field by my cottage. It was warm that day, I remember that, a warm afternoon in the middle of July. I was outside, working on my garden and watering the flowers.
panel 2: And then, I happened to glance behind me and into the field...
panel 3: I saw a stallion grazing in the meadow, the sun shining down on his back.
panel 4: -the sound of hooves-
panel 5: He must have heard me coming because he suddenly looked up,
panel 6: and he seemed as surprised to see me as I was to see him.
