The colors are so pretty for the sky. <3<3
And i especially love how the kitties look, even more that it's a view from behind. Thats a much more difficult perspective to do, i believe. O: and you did it extremely well!
Your style of shading was really awesome, too! But to prevent it from looking so grey, maybe use a dark purple or blue and multiply the layer, then lower the opacity. It gives it a more natural look than black + white. But if that's your style, it's up to you!
Using the airbrush is also extremely helpful. But i'm still trying to figure that out...
As for the cat anatomy -
I LOVE that they have two different body builds. <3
A tip i learned about drawing cat fur is that cat fur grows pointing downwards. It doesn't spike up at all unless it has a mane. <:
You can tell this by petting a cat. All the fur slicks down towards their tail. But if you pet them in the direction of their head, their fur spikes upwards (and they generally dont like it lol. Dont ask how i know)
Of course, they have fur that spikes outwards (towards the sides, especially when their fur bristles!!), so you can have poofy cats. <:
Everything looks really awesome!! I love the back of their heads!! Even their ears are angled just right!
The only thing that you may want to watch out for in the future is tail length. Disappointingly, cat tails are surprisingly short ;o; and it seems the fluffier the cat/thicker the fur, the shorter the tail seems. For short hair - thin furred cats, the tails seem skinnier and longer.
Of course, there is such a thing as long tails and short tails.
When breeding cats, breeders look out for long, whispy tails. Usually, the shorter and thicker the tail (especially in domestic/wild hybrids) the more desireable. But long whispy tails are frIGGIn cool. So again, it depends on your style AND if they are long-tailed or short-tailed cats.
