I'm using a Wacom tablet at the moment, so that's one of the reasons it actually looks okay (drawing with a mouse is painful). Also, the best tip I can give you is just to practise. Practise proportions and techniques and learn to use and understand the software you're drawing on as well as possible. Hope that helps!
