Furthermore, on your question about screening the pic:
Screens tend to have a faint highlighted edge(usually blue when in regards to a black back-drop or background and look a bit pixelly, or at least I can see the more rigid pixels in a screen. If it looks too soft, then it tends to look less like a screen and more like a photo. While it is on a screen, a screen and a picture on a screen look different.. or at least to me. I dunno...
Add highlights on anything touching the glass and maybe darkening on things further from the screen/viewer, maybe even add perspiration/fog on the screen from the creature breathing? That tends to make it more realistic.
I hope that helped a little... I tried to think of everything, but I probably missed some things...
