Story behind this:

The cheering of the crowd seemed far away, as different species of dragons lined up. Until everything went quiet, when she arrived. The only sound was her chain that hit her chest armour, as she stood in between two other dragons. The sun against her scales, made it look like there was fire in between the cool metal. As the signal sounded out, she stretched out her wings and narrowed her green eyes. Instantly she took off into the air, her wing beats sounding like thunder as she flew above her opponent's. Her human companion held on tightly to her back, as she tuck a quick turn in the corner. The metal along her wings, scraped against the barrier as she turned.

Up ahead she saw a dragon, who's scales were as dark as the purest night. His eyes were blood red, sending chills down ones spine. As she continued to fly over the other racers, she noticed that the dragon had purposely bumped into a smaller dragon. This dragon was running on it's back two-legs, and had the body image of a raptor. except they were a dark grey colour, with cheetah markings along their body. They were covered in both scales, and what seemed to be either fur or feathers. Unfortunately both him and his rider, weren't ready for the taller dragons push and were knocked towards the barrier.

To her shock there was a hole in the barrier, and she dived down towards the smaller dragon. Her tail nudging both dragon and rider, back towards the safety zone, once she was sure that they were safe. She flew ahead of them, and raced past the others. Catching up to the red eyed dragon, who was now in the lead. She then performed a barrel roll, as she flew above him her wings scraped against his armour. A warning that no dragon should ignore, as she shot past the next corner and through the finishing line. Landing onto the ground, as the crowd erupted with applause.

She watched as the rest of the racers and their dragons arrive, as her rider jumped off of her back. She talked to the other dragons, and congratulated them on a good race. Since she was a good sport, though something caught her eye. Causing her to growl, when she saw the red eyed dragon picking on the smaller dragon from earlier. She walked past the others, and shot a fire blast at her future rivals feet. Causing the four legged dragon to stand down, and look at her." oh, look who it is, the dragon of the hour", he mocked.

She only hissed as she stood over the smaller dragon, in a protective manner. She then spread out her wings, making herself look taller than she looked. Since her enemy didn't have any wings, as her eyes narrowed." and that makes you the idiot, leave this dragon alone or face my wrath!", she snarled. Of course her opponent didn't listen, and lunged at her. But to his surprise, he reared up on her back legs and forced her claws down onto his head. Leaving four claw marks down his right eye, and sending him to the ground.

She hissed once more, as he slowly stood up. Before she let out another fire blast, and hit him square in his chest. Growling in defeat, he lowered his head in defeat and left. Once gone, she looked down at the chirp of the smaller dragon. Before lowering her head down to him, and smiled." you alright, uh?", she began. The small raptor like dragon tilted his head, as he pushed up with his front legs to reach her snout and smiled." cheeto, the draconis velocifelid", he replied. Causing his rescuer to chuckle, as she watched his tail move from side to side.

She then lifted her head up, and folded her wings back to her side." well, cheeto, your welcome for helping you", she replied. Before hearing her rider call for her, she then turned around ready to leave. Before blinking in surprise when cheeto went in front of her, and shuffled his paws nervously." uh, what is your name?", he asked. She stretched her wings out, so it blocked out the sun behind her. Before lifting her head up, her green eyes glowing in the dim light." heh, well kid, you can call me experiment 5, and stick with me cheeto, no one will pick on you again, see you around", she said. Before lowering her head to her rider, and took off into the sky.

A bit of information:

Dragon races are known to be the most dangerous sport, in the whole wide world. Mainly because dragons are known to be highly vicious, towards other species of dragons. Which is why both riders and dragons, are required to wear armour as an extra form of protection. There are many other dragon sports such as hunting, scouting, battle arena and of team tournaments. Of course this is the first race that experiment five ever participated in, and where she met her first companion cheeto.

Cheeto is a hybrid dragon, his species is a mixture of a dragon, raptor and cheetah. Unfortunately those who are born with any shade of grey, or white are normally shunned from the rest of their kind. Which is why they are also bullied on by, other dragons as you saw in the story. His species belongs to me, and I find him adorable next to experiment 5. His species is that of a raptor, but his head is more dragon like. As well as having the popular of the spikes along his back, as well as having either fur or feather mixed with scales. Their speed is a mixture of all three species, in short bursts he has the speed of a cheetah. When running a long distance it is that of a dragon, when springing up onto ledges it is that of a raptor. So all together, they are slightly faster than the common dragon. They also hunt in packs, which is why they are seen in small groups.

The red eyed dragon, is the villain in my story. Because he hates those who get in his way, and picks on the weaker dragons. He is the arch rival of experiment 5, and hates both her and her fellow experiment friends. Not to mention any dragon, who sides with her.

The reason I did this, is because so many said that she looked like queen scarlet from WoF. So I thought I should do this, yes, experiment 5 is much nicer than scarlet. But when you pick on her friends and family, you face her wrath. As you saw in the story, but those who hurt others will get a much more violent punishment. So don't go against her, or you will regret it even more. She is nick named the 'rogue queen', and for some that is true. She is cheeto's guardian, and will do anything to keep her small friend safe. No one knows her real name, so they call her 'experiment 5' since she escaped a laboratory with a few others. Because she is a dragon, and represents both thunder and fire causes those to glance at her a second time.
