It's not that much of a fail. what you need to do is draw a sketch layer first, and draw like two circles for the head, hen join them up, then add details. Same goes for a horse and a lot of other animals. n-n

Also if you want a new technique, try drawing one long block and a shorter block on top of it ;D (long block is muzzle and short block is top part of the head) its kinda good if you're tryna draw it more 3d ^-^~
