Black Jack was my wonderful she-cat that I raised from a kitten. She was born in the very house that I now live in. She then had her kittens in the same room she was born in. She was a smallish cat of the alley-cat race. She was black with a pale white spot on her belly. But when she stepped into the sunlight, she had even darker stripes. She was a magnificent hunter and companion. She loved to perch on my shoulder and give my kisses.
Last week she disappeared while a friend of mine was taking care of her. I was on a trip at the time. I got back, and no Black Jack. That was six days ago and she has not returned. Living in the country in Texas, coyotes, bobcats, and stray dogs are all around. As well as live stock and ruthless drivers going over the speedlimit on a dirt road. Because she has been gone so long, I don't think she's ever coming back.
Right before I began drawing this, I went to someone's page to trade with them. In their trade message was a long thing of funny cat pictures. They made me realize that Black Jack was really gone. She'd never come back. *sob* She'd never talk to me or walk with me again. I will being going, now, through my days without her there to be comforted by. I am alone now.
Anyway, I know you're tired of my "poor me" stuff. I just had to get it out. crap. i'm crying agin. So, rest in peace, Black Jack. I hope you're enjoying heaven.
