Do you use the smoothing tool?
It is extremely useful! [I usually set it to 88%]

You may call me Nicole, patches, or just Trinity.
Sorry if I am slow with adoptables, trades, or commissions. I'm going to be very
busy for a little while so I can only get on to check up for a little bit each day.

when I used a mouse, the smoothing saved me!
now, if you have a touchscreen notebook (like I do) set it to 50%
also, don't forget the layers! create a second layer right away, it saves lives.
oh, and the pen is the best tool for linearting: don't change its size, but make it 255 opaque.
when making pixelart, set the lines to multiply and lower opacity a bit.

now, to actual art tips: reference. a lot. it's mega useful. also, don't give up, and experiment a lot. don't get too attached to the common side view pose. some free pose references on da c:

Also if you accidentally do change the size of the pen
you can, instead of left clicking, right click the size bar
then when you slide the cursor across the size bar, the bar
should increase/decrease slower, making it able to get 2 % easier c:

change your lineart to different colours !!
i usually line my drawings in black first and then after i set it to protect alpha and colour it pink (but you can use different colours as it suits you)
also, when choosing colours never make them too saturated (neon colours ??) or they'll be difficult to look at

OMG YES! Mine is usually on 54% but anything will due as long as it is on! They make your lines MUCH smoother and you can really see the difference with and without smoothing!

I would watch some youtube videos. Not about how to draw something, but on subjects of drawing, (Shading, contour, perspective) Thise help immensely. I suggest Proko.

I do not use Oekaki anymore, but the things are the same as with Photoshop.

Cool tip for quick size change: [{ (<--Makes smaller) }] (<--Makes bigger)
