[Sabatea]

(( Moonshine is on the bottom and Starfly is on the top. ))

Moonshine ran swiftly through the foresy, wailing in agony and grief for her dead family. Just the memory made her shudder and wail. The brutal, mercy-less killing wouldn't leave her mind even though she'd run none stop for days. She felt like she was going to fall over in exahaustion but she forced herself to keep running, though she wasn't sure if she was running from the killers or her memory. She wailed in agony again as the menory came again, finally braking through. She was sitting in the den, watching her brothers play. Her mother and father had gone hunting a while ago and she was worried. Where were they? Then she heard rustling and ran to the entrance of the den, scenting her mother before she noticed another scent. She watched as her brothers lept over the rocks that were supposed to keep them inside. Moonshine waited for her mother to say she could. Suddenly he heard a yelp of pain. It sounded like her mother. Then there was a sudden crash throug hthe undergrowth and two massive male wolves came after her mother, biting at her savagely, but Moonshine's mother had the will to serve her pups, which made her stronger. She slashed at one's eye, blinding him before slashing at another's muzzle. The now half-blind wolf lept onto his back paws and Moonshine lept up to face him, but realized too late that had been a trap. The second wolf darted forward and slashed her stomach open with his huge claws. Moonshine's mother gasped before falling over, her mouth twisted in a frozen snarl and her eyes, now a dull fear. Moonshine's father ran over and looked at his mate in horror. The blind wolf lept at him and sunk his teeth deep into his neck, making his squeal, but his grasp was too much for him and he fell limp. Then the two wolves turned towards Moonshine's brothers and she looked away and hid behind the rocks, afraid to look. She had to force herself not to wail aloud when she heard the final yelps of her littermates.
