i really like these omg anyway just a thing that came up while i was messing around with designs. yeah. if you're interested in these as a species, please post! (the blue stuff is lava and the things on its neck is a vent to allow excess heat to escape)

ideas for them
lava can be anywhere on their body
shield over it so owners can touch them without being burnt
vents can be on any part of their body
can have different kinds of ears and tails
pps possible (imagine a cute little lava puppy OMG!!)
luscious manes of lava ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
they don't need food, the lava powers them so they don't really need to sleep either
shield can be broken (but only with a really powerful force)
lava = blood and life energy basically
if they lose too much lava they will die
if they eat something bad, the lava will not burn as bright and they will be sleepy and sick
the lava can't be replaced because each lava dog has a different and unique lava
they glow and radiate warmth (free heating anybody ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
they can see really good at night
