It's three am. Help me.

I started drawing and things took shape. This changed about a gazillion (technical term there) times while I was working. There are still some things I might change.
Life has been throwing some really difficult things at me lately, and what you see here is kind of vent, kind of my attempt to lift myself up.
Art is my therapy and my escape.
Sometimes it helps to remind myself that the world is so much bigger than what is happening right now. This situation, though emotionally painful and incredibly difficult, is temporary. The world will keep turning. I'll get through it.

Make a layer dedicated just to one brush size of stars. I usually start with size one.
Dot a bunch of stars in, one at a time. Just scatter them everywhere, until you have a decent number dotted around. Then duplicate the layer, flip it either horizontally or vertically, and move it around until you're happy. Continue this until you have however many stars you want.
When you have enough stars of that size, make a new layer and start with a new brush size.
Also, stars are all different. Change your opacity from time to time to give it some variety. You can even try playing around with different colors in your stars. I usually stick to pastel yellow, blue, pink, and green. I just really like the pastels for stars. (Though obviously, these stars are all white.)
For a subtle glow, duplicate the star layer and then blur the layer.
On a larger canvas like this one, something I'll sometimes do is make a layer, then render it monochromatic noise. Then I'll turn down the opacity to around three. It gives a nice subtle effect.

That helps a little, yeah, but I think my problem is just never putting enough XD
