Stages:
Hatchling- Once emerging from the thick shell a Blade-Horn hatchling is literally boneless except for the horns and spikes on the body these guys mainly get around by rolling around or crawling with their two nubs. They have two HUGE eyes that allow them to have excellent vision at night. They tend to stay in the nest for about a week before going out on their own. As hatchling prey is scared and they mainly feasting on insects. Their whiskers act like sensors and have been known to detect weather!
1-Month- At about a month on their own these lil' guys have gained some bone structure and have evolved losing one of the horns and now having ears. Their horns on their head appear to have grown massive compared to its body anyways. Now it has four feet however they are still nub-like and thus cannot go fast, but to beat this they've grown wings and fly around, however these wings take alot of energy to use and use only uses them when escaping predators or hunting. They can now shot out puffs of smoke as a last ditch effort to escape a predator! Whiskers have moved to the snout.
Young Adult- At a year or so on their own they become completely adaptive to their area they are living in, thus they can move fast and hunt meat. However evolution back tracked and their wing, attached to their arms now, are no longer fit to fly. Their horns are now thinning out to look more blade like. Limbs are longer and are more powerful enabling them to sprint at great speeds. They still have yet to master their fire breath, however they continuously smoke form their nostrils. The whiskers are now for show and are used to impress females for mating season, though males are not sexually mature til adult they can stake a claim on a female early.
Adult/Elder- Now as a full fledge adult these beast rule the skies and can breath a magnificent flame thats said to sparkle. Few changes, its neck now longer limbs are still built for speed, the wings have evolved to achieve flight. Their front paws are now zygodactyl claws, two in front two in back like a bird. Their horns are longer and much more sharper able to chop down a tree easily. Their tails now have a fin for balancing and turning in the skies. The whisker is now on their tail and is more for show and tell rather then defence or weather related.
