ANYWAY I think this is one of the best 'first oekakis' I've ever seen! Keep trying and surely you'll manage to get a feature! Well, the one thing I can say to help you to make this look better is to add shading. You could use another layer to shade or just use the burn tool.

This is a fantabulous first draw and as for tips all I can really say is play around with the tools and make sure no matter what you do that when you do line art turn up your smoothing
