It's a strange egg laying mammal related to the Tapir. These animals live in marshes so spend alot of time swimming. Their eggs are soft and they tend to only lay two so keep the eggs in the skin and cartilage pouches on their backs. The mother and father mate for life so once their babies are born they keep one each in their pouch while swimming or travelling far.
