Dropping out! Sorry! :c

Hello, there! Here I will explain what I would have planned for species #5 by chance that I win them
None of this is official and is subject to change slightly if I win.
If someone else wins they may not use my ideas unless they are super obvious things that anyone would have chosen to do with a species anyways.

Username;;
Megarin

Species Number;;
Five

Species Name;;
Feather Maned Dragons

Species Info (Basic);;
Feather Maned Dragons, or FMD, are a wolf-like species of dragons with wings that are partially feathered. They will always have two long, sharp horns that they use for self defense and to help them fight for mates. Even females have these horns.
Their manes are made of feathers, like the lower part of the wings. A Feather Maned Dragon's mane, however, is made of extremely soft, fine, downy feathers. They are in fact so fine that they can be mistaken for fur. Their tails are connected to this body-long mane and therefore they are also covered in downy feathers.
Although they are a species of dragon, they are covered in fur everywhere save for their wings, manes, tails, and horns. They are closely related to wolves as well as dragons.
They were originally bred in laboratories as science experiments. They were released in many areas around the world. There aren't that many of them, but they can live almost anywhere. They tend to live in extremely rural areas such as the arctic or very thick rain forests.
They can indeed fly, but are usually sloppy fliers. Most FMDs find it hard to fly, having to balance between feathers and scales while they fly. It is difficult to control the feathers of the upper portions of the wings while still having to flap rapidly due to the scaled portion.
The wings are the only part of the entire dragon that have visible scales. But they do have some scales under their fur.
FMDs usually come in more natural colors and patterns, such as browns, greys, whites, and some light oranges. They often times are seen with small amounts of colorful markings and designs that can range from dark blues to neon pinks. It is extremely rare for a Feather Maned Dragon to be a mostly unnatural shade.
Sometimes FMDs are born with mutations. Mutations are very rare. Some mutations are as follows:
-Extra long horns
-Extra short horns
-Lack of horns
-Long mane
-Short mane
-Lack of mane
-Featherless wings (Usually paired with lack of mane)
-Lack of wings
FMDs are dragons, and have a tendency to collect and hoard. They especially love human stuff, including their shine jewels and ores. But they will also collect pretty stones they find, feathers, etc. These objects can be found scattered around their dens, hidden away secretly, organized "neatly" and on display, or worn and carried around. The way the dragon keeps their items depends on their personality, where they live, and what the items are.
Where a Feather Maned Dragon lives and who they are also determines their social life. Some live in small colonies, some with only their families, and others by their lonesome. If an FMD finds a mate, it keeps that mate for life. If it ends up not liking that mate, or their mate dies, they will not try to find another mate ever.
Mothers will always live with the hatchlings until they are old enough to fend for themselves. Sometimes the hatchlings will leave their families when they can, while others will stay with them. Fathers usually stay to help defend and care for the hatchlings, but sometimes a father will leave the family once the eggs are laid.

What I Would do with Them;;
If I won these I would plan to turn them into an adoptable.
In order to do this I would hold a contest for the lines first. I would want the best possible lines for my species, and I feel I couldn't suffice for that. So I would hold a lineart contest.
Once I have the lines and have begun setting up the adoptables I will hold and artist comp.
The species would be free. Each artist would assign a form for people to fill out in order to win the design. There will be no buying or auctioning. There will also be no just straight up raffles to prevent these from falling into uncaring hands.
I promise that if I win, I will take care of Feather Maned Dragons. If I for some reason am unable to have them anymore I will pass them on to one of my head artists. Even if I cannot have them anymore for whatever reason, they will not die.

Inochiryoku

username;; Raff
use;; A public adoptable species, these cuties will also be given lots of attention and their own fan club and role plays!
bid;; Sending, I hope this form is enough to prove that I'm a worthy owner of this species!
species #;; #2
species name;; Inochiryoku ["life force"]

What is an Inochiryoku? wrote:An Inochiryoku, or Inochi, is a large, fearsome creature with a long, fluffy mane. It has a sharp jewel rooted upon the tip of its tail, and a pair of deadly spikes, which emit a thread-like energy to hold in place another air-born gemstone between them. They resemble a reptile mixed with some sort of rodent, though it is unsure what they actually are.
Their colors vary greatly, but they all have one trait in common; their mane is a darker color than the rest of their bodies, therefore it is much more distinguishable. They also usually bear an accessory that is unique to that Inochi only, though it is not uncommon to see one without an accessory.
These creatures are generally very timid around humans, as they have recently discovered us, as well. However, if you can befriend one, it will be a lifelong companion to you! Can you befriend an Inochiryoku?

life span;; Most Inochiryoku can live for up to 90 years. However, there are some who have lived longer, and others who have lived shorter.
mutations;; Wings
Horns
Longer Fur/Manes
Shorter Fur/Mains
Shorter Tail
Longer Tail.

sizes;; Infant - Rabbit to Small Dog
Adolescent - Small Dog to Large Dog
Adult - Large Dog to Horse

years (aging cycle);; Inochi grow relatively quickly. From birth to adolescence is two weeks, and from adolescence to adulthood is four [weeks].
habitat;; Inochiryoku can live in practically any terrain, though few have actually been fully tamed to be domesticated house pets. They are most commonly found in caves and hidden grottoes.
diet;; Omnivorous, these creatures will eat anything, be it meat or vegetables. They have a special substance in their saliva which makes them immune to most poisons.
mating;; These creatures are not commonly monogamous, but they can be. This means that they can either settle with one mate for life, or they can have multiple. When they have kits, most litters carry one to three kits. These kits will stay with their parents until they reach their adolescent years, when they are sent off to find their own Clan. However, like humans, if the kits see their parents or original pack members again after they have found their own Clans, they will treat each other with an incredible amount of hospitality and kindness.
clans;; Inochi live in groups called Clans. These Clans usually consist of 4-9 Inochiryoku, excluding the kits. A Clan of Inochi will defend each other until death, and will usually take in orphaned kits. However, if an adult Inochiryoku approaches their Tribe, that Inochi is treated like a hostile threat, and will usually be chased off by the males of the Clan.
Now that the existential crisis has passed, I'm not leaving! Sorry for the momentary scare, folks!

Postby The One & Only Vapor » Sun Feb 09, 2014 2:32 pm

so wip you can't even ovo
since i'm basically finished with all of the info i'm working on prettying it up ^3^

username;; The One & Only Vapor
which species;; #1
species name;; Lokian Wolves
why that name;; i'm sorry.
but you know what.
those horns just remind me of Loki's helmet.
Hence the name "Lokian Wolves".
basic info;;
sizes- Lokian Wolves are approximately 4 feet at the shoulder, though greatly varying. As a result, they are quite large creatures {I may actually make a height dimension sheet to show. ouo}, and much more massive than an ordinary grey wolf, which only reach around 3 feet in height.
lifespan- These wolves are virtually immortal- in fact, the only way to kill them is through flesh wound, and even then it must be either very severe or in a vital area to kill them. As a result, many of these wolves have scars.
habitat- Lokian Wolves live in the world known as Asgard, where many of the Norse gods live. They tend to lurk around Valhalla, the region of Asgard that Odin rules over.
diet- Being carnivores, the Lokian Wolves dine on whatever creatures they can catch in Asgard- excluding the gods, of course!
coloration- LWs have generally very dark colors, most often in hues of grey/black or dark green/teal. Their horns, however, are very bright colors- spring green, flame orange, golden yellow or even rich mahoganies and scarlets are usually common. Their manes and tail tufts usually match, in design if not color, and can be lighter than the body.
body- Lokian Wolves have a long, fluffy mane running down the length of their body. It ends at the mid-length of the tail, which remains bare until the large tufted tip at the very end. Their hind legs are long and elegant, and their forelegs are also long but a bit stockier; their paws are quite large as well. Their bodies are styled this way to traverse the terrain of Asgard as well as master their fighting skills. Their faces are sharp with minimal cheek fur, and look almost draconian more than canine. Their chest fur is rather fluffy, and their bellies appear thin but have a thin layer of flabby fluff in front of their hindquarters similar to a cat. Lokian Wolves have very large, thick, metallic horns forming backward-facing prongs over their bodies. These horns are used mostly for battle.
life stages- pup; 1 ft at the shoulder; 0-5 years
teen; 3-4 ft at the shoulder, varying; 6-9 years
adult; 5 ft at the shoulder; 10+ years
interesting facts;;
- Lokian Wolves each have a "true power" that they devote their entire life to discovering and refining. It can be basically anything- they can have amazing fighting skills, or they may be able to control lightning. It could be as simple as being a great gardener or as complex as being able to change color. (If one is put out for adoption, its true power will be pre-listed. If it is bred, it will have to discover its own true power.
breeding info;;
how they find their mate- Males fight to mate with females. The ones with the larger, more impressive horns often win the battles, though occasionally the female can choose a male other than the victor to breed with. Sometimes, in fact, the female Lokian Wolves will choose their own mate,s rather than being fought over. Since they only have one litter, Lokian Wolves do not mate for life. It is very rare that they ever will, though possible.
gestation period & litter info & size- Lokian Wolves have pups very, very rarely- not just one mother, but as a species in general. Thankfully, they have little need to reproduce, seeing as they do not die of old age. Lokian Wolves can only have one litter before becoming sterile. This means one litter total, although one male can sire multiple litters. Their gestation period is about three months {though on CS that is reduced to about three days xD} LW litters only contain one pup, or, on an extremely rare occasion, two. Never any more.
how they care for their young- Lokian Wolf mothers look after their young for about two years after their birth, teaching them how to hunt and refining their natural talent for fighting, as well as helping them discover their true power.
why i want them;;
what i would do with them;;
a few simple requests;; alright, just two things really c:
1) could there, um, be ears? they look fine without them, but the concept is just weird xD
2) do you think you could enlarge the lines? i actually really really like the lines you've supplied, and would love to use them, if you could redraw them larger <3 i could also pay for that if necessary c;
2.5) If at all possible, do you think you could add baby and teen lines? Again, I could pay, a *bunch* of rares, probably a list pet or two thrown in there, i just love your art, gaaaahhhh, and i really really really need these lines x'D
