Dropping out! Sorry! :c
Hello, there! Here I will explain what I would have planned for species #5 by chance that I win them
None of this is official and is subject to change slightly if I win.
If someone else wins they may not use my ideas unless they are super obvious things that anyone would have chosen to do with a species anyways.

Feather Maned Dragons
Species Info (Basic);;
Feather Maned Dragons, or FMD, are a wolf-like species of dragons with wings that are partially feathered. They will always have two long, sharp horns that they use for self defense and to help them fight for mates. Even females have these horns.
Their manes are made of feathers, like the lower part of the wings. A Feather Maned Dragon's mane, however, is made of extremely soft, fine, downy feathers. They are in fact so fine that they can be mistaken for fur. Their tails are connected to this body-long mane and therefore they are also covered in downy feathers.
Although they are a species of dragon, they are covered in fur everywhere save for their wings, manes, tails, and horns. They are closely related to wolves as well as dragons.
They were originally bred in laboratories as science experiments. They were released in many areas around the world. There aren't that many of them, but they can live almost anywhere. They tend to live in extremely rural areas such as the arctic or very thick rain forests.
They can indeed fly, but are usually sloppy fliers. Most FMDs find it hard to fly, having to balance between feathers and scales while they fly. It is difficult to control the feathers of the upper portions of the wings while still having to flap rapidly due to the scaled portion.
The wings are the only part of the entire dragon that have visible scales. But they do have some scales under their fur.
FMDs usually come in more natural colors and patterns, such as browns, greys, whites, and some light oranges. They often times are seen with small amounts of colorful markings and designs that can range from dark blues to neon pinks. It is extremely rare for a Feather Maned Dragon to be a mostly unnatural shade.
Sometimes FMDs are born with mutations. Mutations are very rare. Some mutations are as follows:
-Extra long horns
-Extra short horns
-Lack of horns
-Long mane
-Short mane
-Lack of mane
-Featherless wings (Usually paired with lack of mane)
-Lack of wings
FMDs are dragons, and have a tendency to collect and hoard. They especially love human stuff, including their shine jewels and ores. But they will also collect pretty stones they find, feathers, etc. These objects can be found scattered around their dens, hidden away secretly, organized "neatly" and on display, or worn and carried around. The way the dragon keeps their items depends on their personality, where they live, and what the items are.
Where a Feather Maned Dragon lives and who they are also determines their social life. Some live in small colonies, some with only their families, and others by their lonesome. If an FMD finds a mate, it keeps that mate for life. If it ends up not liking that mate, or their mate dies, they will not try to find another mate ever.
Mothers will always live with the hatchlings until they are old enough to fend for themselves. Sometimes the hatchlings will leave their families when they can, while others will stay with them. Fathers usually stay to help defend and care for the hatchlings, but sometimes a father will leave the family once the eggs are laid.
What I Would do with Them;;
If I won these I would plan to turn them into an adoptable.
In order to do this I would hold a contest for the lines first. I would want the best possible lines for my species, and I feel I couldn't suffice for that. So I would hold a lineart contest.
Once I have the lines and have begun setting up the adoptables I will hold and artist comp.
The species would be free. Each artist would assign a form for people to fill out in order to win the design. There will be no buying or auctioning. There will also be no just straight up raffles to prevent these from falling into uncaring hands.
I promise that if I win, I will take care of Feather Maned Dragons. If I for some reason am unable to have them anymore I will pass them on to one of my head artists. Even if I cannot have them anymore for whatever reason, they will not die.
