"...Cause I'm only a crack, in this castle of glass..."
Well...I'm pretty proud of this piece! It is a tribute to Linkin Park's song: Castle of Glass. The wolf is made of glass, symbolizing the "crack in the castle of glass". The light is the dream, the nova, the false hope.
"Warm me up in a nova's glow.
And drop me down to the dream below."
I couldn't include the silver wing, =[ but I still really like the piece. The wolf is in the water, symbolizing the river.
"Take me down the river bend.
Take me down to the fighting end.
Wash the poison from off my skin.
Show me how to be whole again."
The glass wolf is also symbolizing that it is hard to see. The light symbolizes secrets as well.
"Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass.
Hardly anything there for you to see."
"Bring me home in a blinding dream.
Through the secrets that I have seen.
Wash the sorrow from off my skin.
Show me how to be whole again."
To me, this song is talking about someone who has been tainted, or done something horrible in life. Castles are supposed to be strong, fortified, but glass is far from that. A crack in glass can be disastrous. Given a little time, it could grow until the whole structure collapses. The person in the song considers themselves that crack, the weakness. They want to become whole again, strong again.
Well, that was just was interpretation of the lyrics. I really hope you like this piece. ^^ Any questions, comments, or criticisms are welcome (just don't be rude about it).
