I think about this all the time. We're supposed to want to survive to breed, all animals are, yet with our adaptations we've become exceptionally good at it, which I think at some point will become a serious problem. All our special medications and whatnot are slowly replacing our natural immune system (or at least, it's aiding our immune systems). Perhaps someday we'll die out simply because a new disease will come about and we won't have medicine for it and our immune system won't be prepared.

Killing the people isn't much better than killing the whales though. Sounds like a good idea, but human life is still important, even if they are killing the whales. If anyone drowned the Sea Shepherds would be in a lot of trouble.
I still like the idea though.

Too true, it's morally unacceptable (pardon my bad spelling skills) to destroy eachother in such ways. It would be "wrong", but then, you could argue that Japanese torture was also "wrong". Still, you're right.

This IS terrible! I've know about it for quite a while now...I watched a documentary sorta like it called "The Cove" except it was dolphins. Have you seen what goes on in China? There's HUGE, absolutely HUGE, bins filled with shark fins! It needs to end, just as much as the whole wolf thing. Which one would I stop?

All or nothing.
Do not ban me. Me and my brother (timmrty) sometimes share a computer and trade pets. Thanks! I used to be Nightshade13, then I was Sylvaen, and then I was Xeta, then I was Trust and now I plan to stay as Calistaria & Trust

OMG!!! The Cove was one of the saddest movies I've ever seen, another being the Boy in Striped Pajamas. (sorry) Anyways, anything being killed is horrible if it's killed for fun or for something most people are against.

Just thinking, but the farmers were the ones who threw the ecosystem off balance first... had they not settled in the wolves original territory, then they wouldn't have had any problems with losing their livestock. Really, i believe it can all be traced back to human overpopulation. Yeah, I know we need to reproduce for our species to survive, but we are overdoign it. If there weren't so many people in the world, there needn't be so much of the wilderness destroyed for our own purposes. There needn't be the destruction of nature in the first place, to be honest...but you see what I mean.
And it just plain sucks what people do to sharks. Why on Earth do we need to make soup out of a shark's fin? Really, it doesn't make sense. And it's isn't only shark populatins that are devastated by the shark hunting, many species of dolphin, fish and turtle are being affected too. The nets aren't only a hazard to sharks...any animal can get caught in them. Especially the dolphins and turtles, who drown of loss of air. Those stupid hunters, have they no conscience?

Pigwidgeon, so so true, and like i said befor, its not like shark is an important part of our diet, we can live with out it.

And to wibeke, Wolves are one of the most endangered species on this planet (along with alot of other species  ) there is NO WAY they are over populated, in some species of wolf, like the Red Wolf, there are now only about 100 individuals in the wild. And when they hunt, a pack only kills one of the young, sick, or old in the herd, only one, and they only hunt successfully once every couple weeks. That is not going to lower the Elk, or Deer population, human hunters lower their populations more by hunting them a hunter can take, what is the limit for kills? I think is 5? Either way, humans kill more Deer and Elk then Wolves do.

@ missty0505

Thank you. Really, the wolves are just helping with natural selection, and getting something done quicker than it would have without them!

True, true missty. Wolves not only die from humans, but from hunts, competition, habitat loss, waste....hmm...still has to somewhat do with us.... It's not like they can just eat tofu, people! They need deer and elk and moose. It's like some people think they CHOSE what happened to them, like they CHOSE to die for eating livestock over small prey that could barely keep them alive. Another thing: wolf parks...the poor things are basically depressed, scruffy, dogs that have a wild ancestory. I mean, wolf parks are amazing for trying to help...but wolves need REAL territory, a REAL life.
