Anyway here's some cool poems titled "Breaking Through" for anyone who cares, because why not.
I am a living soul
They say when it starts it feels so cold
Now I doubt, when will it happen to me?
But before that, am coming
I may fall so bad, am coming
Am coming with the light
All would wish to view my sight
Yes! I am coming, ready to win the fight
Yes! I am a soldier, an eagle that flies like a kite
I may never bite when am on a diet
The end matters
I stand firm to say thanks to life
~Prince Lartey
A glimmer through my curtain, but one dropp of sunlit beauty
Seems to me like all despair may have gone off duty
My guard is down, somewhat aware
Of this magic sight just sitting there
Gleaming through my window sill so bright
Watching the clouds part open, feeling a spark light in my eye
I was once trapped in a world where day seemed dark as night
But hope broke through as strong as morns first blast of light.
~Rachel Ann Clark
Driving to the next hurried errand
with a list swimming in my head,
I brake for the web-footed family—
not crossing the road,
but walking tall in a single straight line
headed in the opposite direction—
five dark gray long-necked profiles
observing the slow lane,
cars behind them crawling.
I hear myself exclaim delight
at this sweet, slow-moving sight.
A sunny sermon
quietly breaks through—
not citing lilies of the field
or birds of the air
but a family of geese—
right here on the blacktop.
~From Simple Awakenings (2010).
^ I like this one cause its about geese and geese are cool.
