The group Prince Tanabi and Prince Kopa played with as cubs! All of them are related and have at least a bit of royal blood in them!
Up front, sticking his tongue out, is Prince Kopa, second in the first litter of King Simba and Queen Nala. He's a very friendly cub and often gets into trouble.
Behind him is his brother, Prince Tanabi, eldest of the two and first in line for the thrown, with his two aunts and uncle behind him and his brother- I'll elaborate more further down. He's definitely more of the worry wart, and is always looking out for Kopa.
Behind Tanabi is the only female playmate they had, their Aunt Ua, who also is their cousin... confusing, I know. On her mothers side, Sarabi, she is Simba's half sister, thus, Tanabi and Kopa's aunt. But on her fathers' side, Scar, she's their second cousin. She's quite the tomboy and loves getting into trouble with the boys.
On her other side, the one with the red mane, is her brother, Kijivu, who is also Tanabi and Kopa's cousin and uncle. He is rather sickly, both he and his sister were when they were born, and he is still recovering.
Behind those two is Kiboko, Tanabi and Kopa's cousin, technically twice, through his mother, Sabini- Sarabi's elder sister -and Scar. Kiboko is also Ua and Kijivu's brother through Scar, and first cousin through Sabini. Kiboko, though much happier after Scar's demise, is still rejected by most of the pride, due to the fact Scar picked him as his heir (I have a feeling the whole "Kovu was hand picked by Scar" was Zira losing her marbles and Kovu never even met him).
And lastly is Nuka. Ua, Kiboko and Kijivu's eldest brother through Scar and Tanabi and Kopa's cousin. Since the passing of Scar, he's become more friendly and independent, but once they are banished to the Outlands, his mothers controlling behavior subsides all friendliness and love toward the Pridelanders.
Tanabi and Kopa's story is simple. Nuka overhears his mother plotting their deaths to get revenge for Scar, and warns the two brothers. (Around this time, Zira also kills Kovu and Vitani's original mother who is part of the pride to get her cubs for Kovu's striking resemblance to Scar... at least in her mind.) Tanabi and Kopa leave to protect their parents. They don't worry about the kingdom, as their mother is pregnant, and whomever the cub is could take over the Pridelands (this, of course, is Kiara). Enraged by their sons' disappearances and the murder of their pridemate, Simba and Nala banish Zira and all of Scar's followers to the Outlands, just in time for Kiara's birth.
CONFUSING. I know. But I think it adds charm c:
