He's a sentient sour black cherry/raspberry gummy worm, and my new OC. Why? Because. <3
For once, I'm actually very thrilled with how this came out!
I may go back in later and do some sort of background, but I'm bad at backgrounds, so that's a big maybe.
Actually, I decided to go with more of a 'reference sheet' style for this ^.^
Edit: Have decided to flesh him out a bit - here, have a bio!

☞ History: There's not really as much to say as you'd think there'd be, and there's no grand story to tell. As of now, Geoffery isn't really sure why he 'woke up' - that's how he describes his gaining of awareness - he just... did. One day there was nothing. The next, there was color. And smell, and sound, and light and warmth. He spent the next few days at the bottom of a gummy worm pile, trying to sort things out and learning to control his body, which is remarkably difficult to do without muscles. He could have staid there much longer if it hadn't been for the fact that people like sour gummy worms, and the entire time he was sitting there trying to come to terms with existance, the jar he was sitting in was slowly being emptied, scoop by scoop. You see, Geoffery was born on the shelves of a candy shop - in the gummy worm jar. And kids frequently went there to spend their pocket change. One day, all too soon, Geoffery realized that he wasn't at the bottom of the pile anymore.Friends: N/A
Family: All the other gummy worms in the jar - they're not alive, but he likes pretending they are.
☞ Biology: Geoffrey, being a gummy-worm, isn't really alive in the technical sense. He doesn't have a heart or a spine, he doesn't breathe, he doesn't bleed - if he doesn't want to, he doesn't even have to sleep, and eating serves no purpose even though he's able to do it. If one were to cut him in half - perish the thought! - they'd find that he looks just like an ordinary gummy worm after you've taken a bite out of it. The only real thing he has to worry about is humidity. Too high and he'll disolve, too low and he'll dry out and be unable to move. Either condition would 'kill' him, at which point the force that animates him would dissipate. Therefore he must be concious of his environment. Hanging out near lightbulbs, stovetops or sunny windows can help lower an excess of moisture, while hiding under a sink or near the soda fountian can raise it. Tempature, theoretically, would also be a problem for him. Gummy candy melts if you leave it in the car, after all, and will shatter if you put it in the freezer. But he's never been outside, so it hasn't come up. The candy store has a very reliable thermostat after all. As long as these environmental factors are taken into account, and as long as he avoids getting eaten, Geoffrey could live on indeffinately.
Another part of being an animate gummy worm is the fact that Geoffrey smells fruity. More specifiaclly, he smells like incredibly sweet berries - unsurprising, because that's what flavor he is - and just like any smell, Geoffrey's is affected by tempature. The warmer the air, the stronger the smell, and the cooler the air, the weaker the smell. So if he's sitting in the sunshine he'll smell more like berries than if he's sitting under the air vent. At room tempature, the scent of berries is faint, but deffinately noticeable. I'm sure you've caught a wiff of freshly opened fruit roll-up or something before - think of that.
Finally: Geoffrey is neither male nor female in the biological sense. He's a gummy worm. They don't worry about things like that.
