Lol, thanks so much! This is my favorite mythical creature as well, so I was happy when it turned out looking pretty good... now if only I could master drawing the whole body. Perhaps that will be my next project.

This looks great! I really like the composition, and the stare looks very eagle-like. xP I wish I could help critique on the background, but I can't really do backgrounds well myself. Otherwise, the far ear I feel looks too much like a side-view. You would probably be able to see more of it (ex. your angle looks a little more like this instead of this; it's VERY slight, but do you see what I mean a little?). The same goes with the ear closest to the viewer, I think it could be moved down just a bit. Lastly, it might look more realistic if the fur on the neck varied in size and length. c: It looks GREAT so far (probably better than me, I don't do realism enough...), but it might help if you go over your darker lines (defining each little "clump" of fur) with thinner, sharper, lighter lines. owo Just a thought. c:

Thanks for the critique, this is very helpful! I can definitely see what you are saying about the ears... I've always been bad at figuring out what angle ears should be; it is still an area that I am working on. Another area I have always struggled with is defining fur/feathers. I'm going to have to try your suggestions for that; it might help me out. Thanks so much! :3
