Just remember that Tango had a nice life with you and your family, and that he was happy when he died. He was free to roam as far as he could, whereas two years before that he was stuck in some boring old house. you got rid of his shyness and opened up his friendliest side, Tango was a lovely cat and you helped him be that. So even though his life was sadly short and he died young, that cat was happy, and that cat loved you as much (or more) as you loved him. <3 I bet he died happily, and painlessly.
