[Artwork-Is-Key]

For personal use only..I've been needing a new ref for soo many of my characters..I need to revamp loads of them too.

What do you guys think of this? Is it good for a ref sheet? I want to know something, should i or shouldn't I shade this? What else should I add to the ref?

I may have to rearrange some things..the paws are in the worst place ever, I want to be able to draw a super long tail, wings, and ears too. The canine itself is in a perfect spot. |D
I will be using it for most of my characters,I don't know if I will be doing all of them yet....that may take forever, but it would be good to do it since most of them need to be revamped. Plus..not all my characters are canines. |D I have a few horses, dragons, other species..yup.

Times:
Around 2 hours, 30 minutes for just the wolf lineart.
1 hour, 30 minutes to color and do the Color Blots, Paws, Mouth Study, and the word box.
1 hour fixing things(Paws, new box, and moving things around).
3 hours, 30 minutes doing the wings and tails.
Over 1 hour with the ears.

Hurr hurr. This is a very nice bit of artwork I see here...

I think it's a really good ref sheet. It has a clear view of the body and shows all legs, as well as spaces for colours used and other useful stuff. Also, the wings hardly obstruct the body at all which is good.
If you want ideas of things to add, maybe you could do a little front-on headshot so that the artist can see the character's head from the front, which can be useful at times.
I don't think you should shade it. Un-shaded images give better references to colour, and you can see shades in the design better. Also, on the 'work' side of things, shading takes time. |D

You draw nice canines. And I see you put a lot of effort into all your work.
Plus you are a mouse artist. Even though I know what it's like, it's amazing the stuff you do. <3

I am redrawing this lineart in Photoshop! When it is finished I will post a preview here and post the whole thing on DA! However the lineart will still not be available for just anyone's use. The only ones who will be able to use it is some of my friends, but more than likely I will have them use this version and not the new one. Well, hope you guys like it when you see it!
