Well, I had this realization. If TLK was based off of William Shakespeare's "Hamlet", and the second one was based off of "Romeo and Juliet", also by Shakespeare, so should the third one! So these are Kovu and Kiara's daughters.
The eldest is Kirukanjia- Kanji for short- which means "shrew", and Nyuepe, which means "white".
So, anybody guess which of his works I'm basing them off of?
If you guessed "The Taming of the Shrew", you're correct! Because Kate is the shrew, I wanted to name the eldest the Swahili word meaning "shrew", and Kate's sister's name is Bianca, meaning "white", so Nyuepe.
I plan on doing quite a few more pictures of these two in the future.
