(I HAVE PICKED THE WINNER!)
..Ashia turned to her father and growled. "We can't do this to him. You know his rank." Alpha SharpFang looked down at her and sighed. "But sometimes, we need to draw the Alpha out of a wolf to really know him. I need to test his skill." Ashia turned away angrily. She couldn't watch. Her heart was heavy as she lay down, about 3 wolf-lengths away from her father. She put her paws over her head and squeezed her emerald eyes shut.
..Ash's fur tingled when he saw them coming. Almost 10 wolves were surrounding him, snarling. Ash growled and bared his teeth, but he couldn't back away, there were too many. A tan and black wolf along with a few others, moving too fast to see, jumped at him. Ash yelped as they tore at his fur, and he tried to get away, but they were pulling at him too hard. He opened his jaws and slashed out at anything near him, tearing some skin and fur.Blood trickled own his shoulder and he knocked a white wolf over, only to be rammed by the tan one, who seemed to be the leader. He turned his attention to him and lept, getting a good scratch on the wolf's face with his claws. But he was knocked back over and the white wolf came running back. Ash felt his energy depleting, and he couldn't slash out much harder.
..Ashia herd the yelps and snickers, but she tried to tune them out. She looked back and saw Ash fighting weakly back. He was too weak from loss of food, and he looked to afraid to fight anyways. She looked up at her father, who was watching grimly. But when Ash was knocked over, Alpha SharpFang's eyes glittered and he perked his ears. He stood up and snarled, "Stop!" The wolves froze and looked up at him questioningly. He stood tall and proud, but Ashia could see something behind his dark jungle eyes.
..Ash felt releif flood his body as the wolves stopped tearing at him, but he was so weak he could barely stand. The Alpha jumped off of his rock and padded over to him. Ash looked at him but not in the eyes, not wanting to make him angry. "Show your belly." Ash was suprised by the order, but he tried not to show it. "Never!" he hissed, trying to see clearly. Instead, Rider came over and pushed Ash down. Ash snarled but was too weak to resist. The Alpha looked at Ash's belly fur and sucked in a breath. "N..No! It can't be!" Ash was confused and looked down, seeing the blue patch of fur that looked like a moon. "Oh...that. It's just a birthmark." The Alpha looked and him closely and whispered, "No, it's not. It's..it's...the tattoo of a extinct race..." Ash's amber eyes grew wide and he couldn't speak. He was a survivor of a dead wolf breed?
