I trekked into in darkness, the shrill wailing leading me on. I strove to rid this land of the evil that lurks in gloom. Though the terrifying creature was thought to have been killed off, a single hatchling remained. The damp air stood still, no breeze daring to penetrate the deep. I quietly stepped through the halls, wary of the awful noise I was making. My heart almost stopped as a rotten breath grazed the back of my neck. I twisted and stumbled back, raising my staff. The Rage Drake howled and bared its teeth as I chanted under my breath. A bright light burst from behind me, the Drake's fangs glinting as rays of light piercing the dark. I straightened and thrust my staff higher, my cloak billowing around me. A soft glow enemated from my Earth Gem, a shard of green light hitting the Fire Drake square in the chest. It staggered on its feet and its head jerked up, howling one last mournful lament. With a thrash of it's tail, the Drake fell in front of me and breathed the last breath. I sighed in relief and kneeled before the great beast. Even in death I marveled at it, still in awe of its power. After a moment I stood and gazed around the large chamber. I was victorious.
