o.o I know! A small bird one day came across a small brown fuzzy fruit, and it ate it. Then it became a Kiwi! xD I love making up stupid little stories like that. Very nice drawing btw :3

Yeah, ikr? I mean, who would come up with the name "kiwi" in the first place? And they do look pretty similar, but do they live in the same area? What if you fed a kiwi a kiwi? XD

To answer your question: the bird came first, they had originally named the kiwi [fruit] "'The Japanese Peach", and then people started realizing how much the fruit looked like the bird and they renamed it. The sad part is, kiwis are endangered, and are indigenous to New Zealand. ono
