Concept: Harp

Postby ElementStar » Tue Dec 25, 2012 9:14 am

Here is another concept idea, this type has two tails and a second set of horns, between the tails and the horns are "harp" strings, the stings cannot be broken, and this allows these creatures to play the "harp" whenever they please. As you see, there is a hollowed out part on it's chest outlined in blue, within that hallowed out part are even more strings, the use of the chest strings is yet to be known, but due to the somewhat "heart" shape of the hollowed out area, the strings have been dubbed "Heart stings" ... very original /facepalm

Well, what do you think?

Nice. c: Is one of the tails sorta rigid to hold the strings, or does is stretch its two tails apart to play?

Well, I have two ideas (and I do not know which one to pick)...
1. One tail is rigid and the other tail moves to change the tune or pitch of the strings while it plays.
2. Both tails move to change the sound of the harp and the strings expand and contract, changing the tune of each individual string.

So sort of what you just said /facepalm
Which do you prefer?
