One night, the night before Christmas, Saphira travels around when she hears a sound, the sound of bells and a pretty melody along with it, that the wind is carrying towards her. She follows it and soon spots lights in the dark distance, a tiny mountain village, no more than a few huts and an old church. Even though she usually avoids humans, Saphira can't help her curiosity and silently walks through the fresh snow towards the houses, taking careful peeks through the windows. Only in few of the huts are humans, most of them have gone to church where the chant and the sound of bells come from. But through one window she spots a little girl sitting next to a small table with branches of a fir tree on it, a red candle, and next to those things stands a small globe of glass. The mare is confused and wonders what the use of that thing could be, but then she watches the girl grabbing and shaking it, causing snow to fall inside the globe. Tiny, white flakes. When the girl looks towards the window, Saphira takes off running, but she can't get over that little globe of glass, the snowflakes that fell inside them, how they made the girl's eyes sparkle. While she slows down to a slow trot it starts to snow. Saphira stops walking and looks back, and she wonders how it would feel to stand inside the globe, just for one moment. In this safe and perfect little world of glass, watching the candle with its warm light, and then somebody grabs the globe and shakes it, not in a harsh way but very carefully and softly, and with that one tiny move, brings not only snow but also joy into your world. And looking up to the sky, listening to the chant and bells getting in the distance, she realizes that the world is actually just like that globe of glass inside the hut, with its perfect roundness and a giant candle spending warm light from above. All it needs sometimes is a little shake.
So, in case this picture was confusing at first, I hope it's become clear that I would never stuff a whole WME in a tiny snowglobe. xD The scene shown is just a scene taking place in the WME's mind. :3
